Labrador Nature Reserve

Entry is free, and the reserve section keeps its own hours — 7am to 7pm — while the wider park and the seafront promenade stay open around the clock. It was a British coastal artillery fort, so the draw is the mix of clifftop sea views and the surviving World War II gun emplacements and relics scattered through the trees, though the Casemate and Rocky Shore areas are currently fenced off for safety. One thing to check before you go: the Berlayer Creek mangrove boardwalk, the part many people come for, is closed for improvement works until 31 March 2027.

It sits a short distance from Reflections at Bukit Chandu, the WWII interpretive centre, so the two pair naturally into a half-day on Singapore's wartime southern coast. Labrador Park MRT on the Circle Line is roughly a 15-minute walk from the coast, and note the reserve section gate closes at 7pm even though the car parks and promenade run 24 hours, so late arrivals get turned back from the clifftop trails.

The Berlayer Creek boardwalk — the mangrove walk that draws most first-time visitors — is shut from 3 June 2026 to 31 March 2027 for improvement works, so if that is your reason for coming, wait or go elsewhere; the coastal cliff paths and the gun emplacements are unaffected and still worth the trip.
