Should you go?

FREE TO WALK IN

Mount Faber Peak itself is a free hilltop — the lookouts, the Bells of Happiness, the vintage cable car cabins and the trails towards Henderson Waves all cost nothing, and the public parking is free. What you buy is a cable car fare.

⚠ HEADS UP

This is the one place on Sentosa with a genuine Singapore-resident fare, and it is a big one: a 1-for-1 SkyPass gives two people both lines for S$35 together — S$17.50 each against S$32.90 — until 31 Aug 2026. Separately, a Sentosa Line round trip costs residents S$2 on weekdays until the end of the year, counter purchase only.

NOTE

The Sentosa Line unlimited-rides ticket is sold only at the counters, never online.

The park itself is free to enter and you can reach the viewpoints at Faber Peak on foot without paying anything; the cost is the cable car, which is ticketed. Its Mount Faber Line runs Mount Faber to HarbourFront to Sentosa, so most people ride it either for the aerial view over the harbour or as a scenic way onto Sentosa, while a separate Sentosa Line loops within the island. A round trip on the Mount Faber Line is roughly SGD 35 for an adult; the Sentosa Line is SGD 17.

Cars run daily from 8:45am with last boarding at 9:30pm. It sits directly above HarbourFront MRT and VivoCity, a few minutes below. At HarbourFront MRT take Exit B or D, cross the Level 2 link bridge into HarbourFront Tower 2 and go up to Level 15 to board — the cable car does not leave from the park itself unless you have driven up to Faber Peak.

★ WORTH KNOWING

The Mount Faber Line is a sightseeing ride, not the cheap way onto Sentosa — the boardwalk and Sentosa Express from VivoCity cost a fraction of it and drop you in the same place. If it is the view you are after rather than the ride itself, the park is free: the Marang Trail climbs from beside HarbourFront MRT to the same Faber Peak lookouts in about fifteen to twenty minutes, no ticket needed.

    Rain drier than average

Short, sharp early-morning showers and occasional squall lines. Drier overall than the northeast wet phase.

The other good window. Rain tends to arrive early and clear, leaving usable afternoons. This is also when haze can occur, which is worth checking rather than assuming.
