The line-up is seasonal, so expect the specific items to shift through the year.
Tempura treated as a refined, multi-course omakase rather than a casual tendon shop, with kaiseki structure and seasonality applied to each piece. At a roughly ten-seat counter the chef fries every item to order in front of you, using premium seasonal Japanese ingredients.
Chef-owner Takahiro Shima previously led Ginza Tenharu in Singapore and worked at the tempura omakase Tentsuru, and brings sixteen years of kaiseki practice — an emphasis on progression, seasonality and timing, and on omotenashi hospitality. Tenshima is the first project of its owning company, ThreeMM, established in 2022.

Serene and ryokan-inspired, restrained and intimate, built around a ten-seat counter with Japanese-made dishware — quiet and precise. Smart casual; a jacket is not required. Avoid heavy perfume, at the house's request.
Tenshima opened in 2023 as a ten-seat tempura counter, drawing on Shima's earlier work at Ginza Tenharu and Tentsuru, and is ThreeMM's first restaurant. It earned its first MICHELIN star in 2026, one of six new one-stars that year.
For focused Japanese fine-dining and tempura lovers who value kaiseki structure, seasonality and counter dining — good for couples, anniversaries and small, quiet groups. Lunch is the lower-priced way in; dinner is the fuller premium menu. It is seafood-heavy, so ask about substitutions. Not for large groups, spontaneous visits or a cheap local meal.
