Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore is Southeast Asia's first Universal theme park, split into seven themed zones including a dedicated Jurassic Park zone with a water ride and a Minion-themed area built around Illumination's characters rather than classic Universal franchises.

BOOK AHEAD? Recommended
Not required — RWS dropped reservations in April 2023 — but tickets are capacity-capped at the point of sale and described as subject to availability, so a dated online ticket is the safer move. They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and admission is not valid for re-entry once you exit.
HOURS Daily 10am–8pm
⚠ HEADS UP

Getting onto Sentosa is a separate S$4 charge on top of any attraction ticket if you arrive by the Sentosa Express monorail. RWS hotel guests enter free. Walking in over the Boardwalk is free — most competitor pages omit this entirely.

⚠ HEADS UP

No re-entry. Once you leave Universal Studios your ticket is spent, unlike Adventure Cove in the same resort, which allows same-day re-entry with a hand stamp.

NOTE

The park uses facial recognition for access management, and buying a ticket or entering counts as consent.

NOTE

Tickets are non-refundable even for weather — the park does not close for rain, though individual outdoor rides shut for lightning.

NOTE

NETS is not accepted inside the park. Cash, credit and debit cards, UnionPay, Alipay, PayNow and RWS vouchers are.

It opens daily at 10am with closing time varying by day and season, so checking the specific date's hours before visiting is worth doing rather than assuming a fixed closing time. It sits inside Resorts World Sentosa, and its Battlestar Galactica dueling roller coasters remain one of the tallest coaster pairs anywhere.

Express passes exist for an extra cost and cut queue times significantly on the park's most popular rides.

★ WORTH KNOWING

An Express Pass is a genuine time-saver on weekends and school holidays, when standard queues for the top rides can run over an hour — on a weekday outside school holidays, the standard ticket is enough and the extra cost isn't worth it.

On right now, and what each ticket costs

You buy for a specific date, and the price depends which of three season bands that date falls in — Non Peak, Peak or Super Peak. Flip the stubs to your rate; every price includes the resident lines most sites leave out.

YOU ARE DAY

RWS does not use the word tourist. The public booking flow shows one undifferentiated price per age band, and this is it.

PERMANENT, DAILY
One-Day Ticket

Dated, and valid only on the date you pick. Not valid for re-entry, and not valid during special events such as Halloween Horror Nights, which need their own ticket.

Currently pricing: tourist rate, off-peak day.
Switch with the chips above the ticket stubs — everything updates together.

On peak dates: RWS prices by date, so there is no single "Universal Studios price". The adult band is verified at both ends: S$76 is the operator's published Non Peak floor, matching its own page title, and S$89 was read live from the booking widget on a Super Peak date. The middle Peak tier is genuinely unknown and has not been interpolated. The child rate read S$69 at both ends, which we report as found without claiming to understand why it does not move. Three named bands — Non Peak, Peak and Super Peak. July–August 2026 is Super Peak, September is Non Peak, October is Peak.

Rain, heat, and what to do about it

Live readings and forecasts from NEA. Four days is the limit — past that, nobody is forecasting, they are showing you an average.

    Southwest Monsoon

    June to September

    Rain drier than average

Short, sharp early-morning showers and occasional squall lines. Drier overall than the northeast wet phase.

The other good window. Rain tends to arrive early and clear, leaving usable afternoons. This is also when haze can occur, which is worth checking rather than assuming.
