Resorts World Sentosa

Resorts World Sentosa is the integrated resort that anchors the western half of Sentosa Island, built around Universal Studios Singapore, the Singapore Oceanarium, six hotels and a casino, with each attraction running its own hours rather than one park-wide schedule.

FREE TO WALK IN

The resort itself is open — the promenades, the hotels, the shops and restaurants all cost nothing to walk into. Every attraction inside is a separate ticket, and getting onto Sentosa at all costs S$4 unless you walk in or are staying at an RWS hotel.

BOOK AHEAD? Recommended
No reservation has been required at any RWS attraction since April 2023, but dated tickets are capacity-controlled and described as subject to availability. One real exception: the Oceanarium requires timed-entry tickets during peak periods, so on a busy date you cannot simply turn up.

⚠ HEADS UP

S.E.A. Aquarium no longer exists. It has been replaced by Singapore Oceanarium, a different building at 24 Sentosa Gateway. Any guide still naming S.E.A. Aquarium is out of date.

⚠ HEADS UP

Sentosa island entry is a separate S$4 on the monorail, on top of every attraction ticket. Free if you walk in over the Boardwalk, cycle, or stay at an RWS hotel.

NOTE

The Oceanarium's adult band stops at 59, so anyone 60 or over pays the S$43 senior rate. It is the only RWS park with a senior rate at all.

NOTE

Re-entry rules differ within the same resort: Universal Studios allows none, Adventure Cove allows same-day re-entry with a hand stamp and your ticket.

Getting between the individual attractions inside RWS is a short walk, and a combined multi-park ticket is generally cheaper than buying single tickets if visiting more than one attraction in a day. The resort sits at the base of Sentosa, reachable by the Sentosa Express monorail, cable car, or on foot across the boardwalk from VivoCity.

Its scale makes it realistically a half-day-to-full-day destination rather than a quick stop.

★ WORTH KNOWING

Buying combo tickets — Universal Studios plus the Oceanarium, for instance — online in advance is consistently cheaper than paying for each at the gate, and it skips a queue that can run long on weekends and school holidays.

Free to wander, ticketed everywhere that matters, with a three-park bundle that undercuts buying separately. Flip the stubs to your rate; every price includes the resident lines most sites leave out.

The replacement for S.E.A. Aquarium, in a different building. These are the operator's published "from" floor prices, so the dated ceiling is higher and unpublished — hence the empty peak row. Timed-entry tickets are required on busy dates.

RATE & DAY
Currently pricing: tourist rate, off-peak day.
Switch with the chips above the ticket stubs — everything updates together.

On peak dates: RWS prices by date. Only the Super Peak bundle price could be read with its tier label attached; the other two bands need a date picked in a booking calendar that could not be opened. The Oceanarium and Adventure Cove publish only "from" floors with no ceiling. So: quote the Oceanarium as from S$55, and the bundle as S$141 adult in the July–August band specifically — never as a flat year-round price. Three named bands — Non Peak, Peak, Super Peak. July–August 2026 is Super Peak, September Non Peak, October Peak.

Rain, heat, and what to do about it

Live readings and forecasts from NEA. Four days is the limit — past that, nobody is forecasting, they are showing you an average.

    Southwest Monsoon

    June to September

    Rain drier than average

Short, sharp early-morning showers and occasional squall lines. Drier overall than the northeast wet phase.

The other good window. Rain tends to arrive early and clear, leaving usable afternoons. This is also when haze can occur, which is worth checking rather than assuming.
