Sentosa Sensoryscape is a 350-metre landscaped walkway on Sentosa Island that links the Imbiah rise down to the beaches, laid out as six themed gardens keyed to the senses — Lookout Loop, Tactile Trellis, Scented Sphere, Symphony Streams, Palate Playground and Glow Garden.
ImagiNite is outdoors and can be cancelled for bad weather or maintenance. The trail itself stays open.
It opened on 14 March 2024 on the ground once occupied by the 37-metre Sentosa Merlion and its plaza, which were demolished in 2019. Entry to the gardens is free and they stay open through the day; after dark the same route hosts ImagiNite, a projection, light and sound trail that runs nightly from about 7.50pm, also free and needing no ticket. By day it works mainly as a walking spine between the attractions, so most people combine it with something else rather than making a special trip.
It runs straight up to Beach Station and the edge of Resorts World Sentosa. Take the Sentosa Express to Imbiah Station and enter at the top via Lookout Loop, so you walk the gardens downhill toward the beach rather than climbing up from Beach Station in the heat.
You do not need to pay the S$4 Sentosa Express fare to reach it: walking onto the island along the Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity is free, and it delivers you near the Resorts World end of the walkway. The gardens themselves are pleasant but ordinary in daylight — the reason to time a visit is ImagiNite after 7.50pm, when the projections and lighting are switched on; going only in the afternoon means seeing half of what is there.
Live readings and forecasts from NEA. Four days is the limit — past that, nobody is forecasting, they are showing you an average.
Southwest Monsoon
June to September
Short, sharp early-morning showers and occasional squall lines. Drier overall than the northeast wet phase.
The other good window. Rain tends to arrive early and clear, leaving usable afternoons. This is also when haze can occur, which is worth checking rather than assuming.
Straight-line distance from the three places a visitor has already heard of.
