Singapore Oceanarium

Singapore Oceanarium reopened on 23 July 2025 at Resorts World Sentosa as a three-times-larger replacement for the former S.E.A. Aquarium, spread across 22 zones with a stated focus on conservation and marine research rather than just display tanks.

FORMERLY: S.E.A. Aquarium closed 30 Apr 2025 and reopened 23 Jul 2025, expanded 3x, as Singapore Oceanarium. Verified via mustsharenews/RWS press release, 2026-07-31.

It opens daily at 10am, with closing time varying by season, so it's worth checking the current hours before visiting rather than assuming a fixed closing time. The signature Open Ocean tank, one of the largest viewing panels of its kind, carried over from the previous aquarium and remains one of the main draws.

It sits inside Resorts World Sentosa alongside Universal Studios Singapore, making a combined ticket worthwhile for a same-day visit to both.

★ WORTH KNOWING

Because the venue only reopened in mid-2025 under its new name and expanded footprint, some older maps, blog posts and even taxi drivers still know it only as “S.E.A. Aquarium” — both names get you to the same gate at Resorts World Sentosa.

the thing that ruins more Singapore days than anything else

Rain, heat, and what to do about it

Live readings and forecasts from NEA. Four days is the limit — past that, nobody is forecasting, they are showing you an average.

Southwest Monsoon

June to September

Rain drier than average

Short, sharp early-morning showers and occasional squall lines. Drier overall than the northeast wet phase.

The other good window. Rain tends to arrive early and clear, leaving usable afternoons. This is also when haze can occur, which is worth checking rather than assuming.
