Ginza Sushi Ichi is the Singapore counter of Ginza's long-running Sushi Ichi group — a one-star Edomae omakase inside the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel on Orchard Road.
The omakase is seasonal, so the exact line-up shifts with the market.
A Ginza-style sushi-ya serving a chef-led omakase rather than à la carte, centred on the counter so you can watch the itamae work. The menu runs Edomae nigiri and sashimi alongside cooked dishes and seasonal appetisers.
The kitchen follows the Ginza flagship's traditional, non-experimental style, with curing, marinating, ageing, simmering and grilling, and sauces imported from the Tokyo original. (The counter team rotates, so confirm who is cooking when you book.)

An intimate, quiet, compact fine-dining room with a counter of 300-year-old cypress and wall ornaments handmade by a Nara carpenter, in pale natural wood. Around 21–24 seats plus a private room. Smart casual; no beachwear, flip-flops or sportswear, and go easy on fragrance.
This is the overseas branch of Ginza's Sushi Ichi in Tokyo. It opened in Singapore at Scotts Square in February 2012 and later moved to the Marriott Tang Plaza. It has held a MICHELIN star every Singapore edition since 2016, retained again in 2026.
For Edomae purists and omakase-counter lovers who want premium Japanese sushi in central Orchard. Go for the Sushi Ichi Course or Chef's Signature Omakase for the full experience, or the nigiri course for a shorter, lighter sitting. Easy to reach by MRT.
