what to order

Signature dishes

  • Chutoro with ikura, dashi foam and fermented tomato.
  • Tagliatelle with Manjimup black truffle, guinea fowl and shiso.
  • Amadai with Iberico ham, morel and vin jaune.
  • Wagyu, both Japanese and Australian.
  • From the dessert counter, the signature Earl Grey pound cake.

The menu is seasonal, so ask what is on when you book; a plant-based menu is available.

The concept

Contemporary European cooking read through Singapore's multicultural palate, with clear Japanese and Southeast Asian influences — European technique meeting Japanese seafood, dashi and fermentation. A compact room of around thirty-odd seats serving a curated tasting experience.

The chef

Head chef Jake Lee, from Perak in Malaysia, trained in Western cooking and worked at Il Lido and Sage in Kuala Lumpur before joining Iggy's in 2017 and taking over the kitchen in July 2019. Founder and culinary director Ignatius Chan, a sommelier, still drives the menu, sourcing and a Burgundy-heavy cellar of around 25,000 bottles.

Getting there

Level 3, voco Orchard Singapore, 581 Orchard Road, in the heart of the Orchard shopping district. Orchard MRT is a five to ten minute walk through ION or Wheelock; Orchard Boulevard on the Thomson-East Coast line is closer still.

Prices

Lunch is the accessible way in: two courses around S$65++, three around S$85++, a tasting from about S$150++. Dinner tastings run roughly S$195++ to S$295++ before drinks, service charge and GST.

How to book

Book through the restaurant's website or MICHELIN link, or call +65 6732 2234 or +65 8188 3200. It is a small room, so reserve at least a week ahead, and two to four weeks for a Friday or Saturday dinner.

Opening hours

Tuesday to Saturday. Lunch from around noon; dinner from about 6.30pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. Confirm exact seating times when you book.

The room & dress

Elegant and intimate, with a picture window onto the kitchen. Smart casual — collared shirt, trousers and closed shoes; no shorts, singlets or slippers.

A little history

Established in 2004 by Ignatius Chan at The Regent Singapore and moved to its Orchard home in 2010. It was the first Singapore restaurant on the World's 50 Best list, reaching No. 26 in 2012, and won its first MICHELIN star in 2017.

Who it’s for

For diners who want a refined, produce-led tasting menu where European technique meets Japanese ingredients, and for Burgundy lovers marking an anniversary or a business dinner; a vegan option makes it flexible. Not the choice for a cheap or casual Italian meal.
