ArtScience Museum sits at the northern tip of Marina Bay Sands, its ten “fingers” reaching out over the water in a shape most people compare to a lotus flower or an open hand.
The museum itself is free to walk into — you only pay for the exhibitions you want to see. The operator's own words: access to the museum is free, with selected exhibitions carrying a separate charge.
Go if you want Future World with kids, or you need a good indoor half-day in Marina Bay when it rains. Buy the single Future World ticket, not the bundle, unless you actively want the touring shows.
Skip it if you only came to photograph the lotus building — that is free from the promenade — if you have under an hour, or if you have already done a larger teamLab.
The single best-value move here is a weekday morning, resident rate if you qualify, Future World only.
Future World is partly shut. Selected areas are unavailable from 15 Jun to 28 Aug 2026 while new experiences are installed, and the ticket price has not been reduced.
Flesh and Bones closes 16 Aug 2026. From 17 Aug The Museum Ticket covers two exhibitions instead of three and drops from S$65 to S$49 for a standard adult.
Covered shoes are required. Flip-flops and high heels are not permitted — a real problem if you have walked over from Gardens by the Bay in sandals.
You must be at least 1.20m tall for Aerial Climbing Through a Flock of Coloured Birds, so smaller children cannot do that one installation.
Strollers are not allowed inside the exhibitions. There is a parking area at the gallery entrance.
Walking in costs nothing — the building, the lobby and the shop are free, and you pay only for the galleries you choose to enter. The programme is almost entirely touring exhibitions rather than one fixed collection, so what is inside changes every few months, and each show is priced separately.
The one constant is Future World, the permanent teamLab digital-art exhibit, which is why most visitors buy a ticket at all. It is a ten-minute walk across the Helix Bridge from Merlion Park, so pairing the two saves a taxi.
The mistake to avoid is buying The Museum Ticket by reflex. It bundles every show running, and if you only want Future World you are paying two to three times over — check the calculator below against what you actually intend to see. Singapore residents should also note there is a separate, lower rate on every line of the price table; you need an ID at the counter to claim it.
There is no single 'museum admission'. You either buy one exhibition, or The Museum Ticket which bundles whatever is currently running. Flip the stubs to your rate; every price includes the resident lines most sites leave out.
The operator's word for it is "Standard" — entry tickets for tourists.
The permanent digital-art exhibit, and the reason most people buy a ticket at all.
Made with OceanX and premiered here — a descent from sunlit water to the deep. The one show on this list you cannot see anywhere else.
The version that replaces the three-show bundle once Flesh and Bones closes.

On peak dates: Marina Bay Sands does not publish which dates are peak. The tier is revealed when you pick a date in their booking flow. We show both prices rather than guess yours. Friday is peak — the Friday children-free rate only appears in the peak table and has no non-peak equivalent.
Tick more than one and we compare buying them separately against the bundle — automatically.

Ticket resellers earn a commission on what they sell you. We sell nothing, so here is the operator's own price — compare before you buy.
S$32
for teamLab Future World, straight from the operator's own price table.
Anything above S$32 is a markup. A reseller can be genuinely cheaper — some run below the gate price to win the booking — but you now know which side of the line you are on. Check the total at checkout, not the headline.
See it on the operator's own page →S$6
19% off teamLab Future World: S$26 instead of S$32, on every adult ticket.
This is wider than most people think. Singapore citizens, PRs, and holders of an Employment Pass, Work Permit or Dependant's Pass. A valid ID is needed when buying, checks are made at the door, and you will be told to upgrade if you cannot show proof.
And there is a lower one still: S$22.40 on a Sands LifeStyle member. Joining costs nothing, so a visitor can reach it in the queue — below even the resident price.
S$23.27/hr
S$32 for teamLab Future World over about 1.4 hours, or S$18.91/hr at the resident rate. Future World alone at a walking pace. Longer with children who want to repeat the Sketch Aquarium and the slide. The duration is our estimate, not the operator's.
Cheapest honest way to do it: The single best-value move here is a weekday morning, resident rate if you qualify, Future World only.
Live readings and forecasts from NEA. Four days is the limit — past that, nobody is forecasting, they are showing you an average.
Southwest Monsoon
June to September
Short, sharp early-morning showers and occasional squall lines. Drier overall than the northeast wet phase.
The other good window. Rain tends to arrive early and clear, leaving usable afternoons. This is also when haze can occur, which is worth checking rather than assuming.
Stay dry getting in
Use the Oculus entrance in wet weather — it connects the museum to The Shoppes without stepping outside.
How exposed you are
Once you are through the door this is entirely indoors and air-conditioned — one of the few Marina Bay attractions where the heat and the rain stop mattering. The only exposure is the walk from the MRT, and Exit D keeps most of even that under cover.
A plan that needs no umbrella
Future World, timed entry → Digital Light Canvas one level down → The Shoppes for lunch — all of it under cover via the Oculus entrance. About 3h 30m.
Indoor, within walking distance
Marina Bay Sands · 3 min · Singapore Flyer · 14 min
The one to use. Sheltered nearly the whole way through The Shoppes.
Longer, still indoors most of the way.
Avoid — it puts you on the far side of the hotel towers.
WHY MAP APPS DISAGREE: Our own OneMap routing scored Exit C as the shortest at about 5 minutes, because it measures the straight-line pedestrian path. The operator publishes 17 minutes for Exit C and 7 for Exit D, which matches the real indoor route. We show the operator's numbers.

Last admission to any exhibition is 6pm Sun–Thu and 8pm Fri–Sat. The box office shuts before the museum does, so buy online if you are arriving late.
When to slot it in: Good in the worst of the afternoon heat. If you are pairing it with Gardens by the Bay or the promenade, do this one between 1pm and 4pm and the outdoor half in the morning or after 6pm.
Published deliberately. A guide that never admits a gap is a guide that fills gaps by guessing.
Can you still get home by MRT after closing?
Why it matters: Trivial here — the museum shuts at 9pm at the latest and Bayfront runs well past that. It is a genuine problem at Night Safari, which closes at midnight, so the field belongs in the schema now rather than being bolted on later.
Why it is not here: We hold no verified first/last-train times. LTA and the operators publish them per station; they need harvesting into mrt-stations.json before this can be rendered anywhere. Not guessing in the meantime.
Is there a prayer room, and is there halal food on site?
Why it matters: Indonesia is Singapore's largest visitor source market and Malaysia is close behind. This is a first-order question for a large share of readers and almost no English-language travel page answers it.
Why it is not here: ArtScience Museum's own visitor page lists free Wi-Fi, strollers, water coolers, baby changing, wheelchairs, baggage storage and child-friendly toilets — and no prayer room. The wider Marina Bay Sands resort does have facilities, but that is a different building and we will not imply the museum has one. Needs a direct answer from the operator.

Exit positions come from the national station dataset and are reliable. The walk times on them are the operator's, because OneMap's disagreed — it routes the outdoor straight line, and the real approach here is sheltered and indoors. For that reason we have deliberately not drawn OneMap's suggested path. See “Getting there” below.
In Marina Bay — close enough to collect on the same trip out. The denomination is the walk.
