讚美廣場（CHIJMES，讀作"chimes"）的名字來自聖嬰耶穌女修道院（Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus），這裡從1854年到1983年一直是一座天主教修道院、孤兒院和女校，後經修復於1996年重新開放。
出發前，有 2 件事要先知道
CHIJMES Hall — the deconsecrated chapel that is the reason to come — is a private events venue, not an open attraction. It is often closed for weddings and functions and there is no public viewing time. Expect to see it from outside.
It reads as a nightlife destination in the evening. Mornings are quiet and much better for photographs.
如今這些保育建築裡聚著約四十家餐廳、酒吧和咖啡館，環繞著一個下沉式的庭院和草坪，所以走進來不花錢，你只在吃喝時才付賬。遺產的核心是那座1904年的哥特式禮拜堂，現在叫讚美廳（CHIJMES Hall），不過它作為私人活動和婚禮場地運營，而非對外開放的展覽，所以你通常只能從庭院裡看它，進不去。更早、建於1840年代的Caldwell House，以及禮拜堂那扇比利時彩繪玻璃，是另外兩處值得找一找的地方。
它就在Bras Basah Road上，正對著萊佛士城和City Hall地鐵站。City Hall地鐵站（NS25/EW13）是最近的一站，走萊佛士城出口、過Bras Basah Road，步行約三分鐘；開車的話請注意車輛入口在Victoria Street一側，地下停車場按每15分鐘計費，夜間有較低的封頂價。
那座哥特式禮拜堂不是可以隨便走進去的景點——它被婚禮和活動包場，所以平常的日子你只能在庭院裡給它拍照，走到門口是鎖著的。唯一穩妥的入內方式，是去參加在讚美廳舉辦的音樂會或公開活動，這些都列在場地自己的活動日曆上，所以想專程進去看內部，去之前先查一查。
