它是一座小型歷史博物館，圍繞這段戰時故事展開——囚禁、苦役、戰俘們為撐下去而搭起的簡陋禮拜堂——通過書信、畫作、私人物品來講述，露天庭院裡還有一座複製的禮拜堂，堂裡那個銅十字架是用打過的彈殼做的。新加坡公民和永久居民免費入場；遊客成人票9新元，長者和學生有優惠價。這棟樓2021年在全面重建後重新開放，也正是那時名字裡多了“禮拜堂”三個字。
它離星耀樟宜（Jewel Changi Airport）開車不遠，兩處可以湊成往東這一趟。門口沒有地鐵：坐濱海市區線（Downtown Line）到上樟宜站（Upper Changi，DT34）再轉2路巴士，或搭2路、29路到走五分鐘就到的站，5路則要走上十分鐘。
最常犯的錯是週一跑來——它和新加坡多數景點不同，逢週一閉館（公共假日除外），週二到週日開放，上午9點半到下午5點半，最後入場5點。還要注意，很多人滿心想看的那些戰時樟宜壁畫（Changi Murals），這裡展出的是複製品；由戰俘沃倫（Stanley Warren）所繪、倖存下來的原作，還在仍在使用的樟宜監獄內部，只有偶爾開放、需提前預約的導覽才進得去。
