East Coast Park runs for roughly 15km along Singapore's south-east shore, on land reclaimed from the sea, which makes it the largest park in the country.

The intertidal area is fragile. Do not touch, trample or collect the wildlife.
It is open 24 hours and costs nothing to enter; you pay only for parking, bike or skate hire, and food. Most people come to cycle or skate the coastal path, picnic under the casuarina trees, or eat at the seafood restaurants and hawker stalls that back onto the beach. There is no single entrance — the park is split into lettered areas A to G, each with its own car park and amenities, so it helps to decide which stretch you want before setting off.
The newer Coastal PlayGrove, which has the tallest outdoor play tower in Singapore, sits towards the western end near Marine Cove, a short walk from the East Coast Lagoon Food Village. Older guides still send you to Bedok MRT, a long trek across the expressway; since 2024 the closest station is Marine Parade on the Thomson-East Coast Line, a shorter walk to the park's western end near Marine Cove.
For the seafood the park is known for, there are two very different options a few minutes apart: the East Coast Seafood Centre is a row of sit-down restaurants where a chilli crab runs to full restaurant prices, while the East Coast Lagoon Food Village a short walk west is a beachfront hawker centre doing satay, barbecued stingray and cheaper plates with the same sea view. Most first-timers pay the restaurant rate without realising the hawker option is right there.

The other good window. Rain tends to arrive early and clear, leaving usable afternoons. This is also when haze can occur, which is worth checking rather than assuming.
