NParks puts it plainly: the Gardens are free entry for everyone, every day. That covers the lawns, the lakes, the Rain Forest and the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. The one place inside you pay for is the National Orchid Garden.

主园区上午5点到午夜开放、免费入场，园内的国家胡姬花园（National Orchid Garden）则单独收费（上午8点半到晚上7点，末班票下午6点停售），种有一千多种胡姬花原生种和杂交种，其中好几种以来访的外国政要命名。园区内还有雅各巴拉斯儿童花园（Jacob Ballas Children's Garden），是专为12岁以下儿童设的游乐区，周一闭园。它位于乌节路靠东陵（Tanglin）的一端，从购物街坐一小段公交或步行20分钟就到。
清早、8点以前，是园子最安静、也最凉快的散步时段，而且这也是最常在天鹅湖（Swan Lake）附近看到常驻水獭一家的时候——赶在5点一开门就到有点过头，但8点前来确实大不一样。
