小印度（Little India）以实龙岗路（Serangoon Road）和竹脚中心市场（Tekka Centre）为核心，是新加坡各个文化街区里视觉冲击最强的一个——店面刷成浓烈的饱和色，花环摊现串茉莉和万寿菊，维拉玛卡里亚曼兴都庙（Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple）雕花的塔门从屋顶间高高探出。
这里在周末最热闹、最缤纷，住在附近、在附近工作的印度和孟加拉社群会聚到街上来，尤其是屠妖节（Deepavali）期间，实龙岗路上会连着好几周架起灯拱。竹脚中心一楼的湿巴刹和楼上的小贩摊子是货真价实的本地觅食点，不是给游客看的复刻版。从甘榜格南走过来只要几分钟。
小印度是新加坡少数几个周日反而比平日更热闹、更有氛围的街区，因为那天是劳工们休息的日子——想看真正的市井就那天来，但也要有心理准备，人行道上会挤得多。
